Raw power isn't enough to win every rally. Observe the ball's trajectory and position your cursor where you want to aim before the ball reaches you. Holding the mouse longer generates a more powerful shot, but precise timing is key when accuracy is paramount.

The practice sessions in Tennis Champions 2020 are excellent for getting a feel for ball speed and the cursor movement required to change the direction of your return. Once you are comfortable with the rhythm and timing, put those skills to the test in Quick Play mode and eventually the World Tour.
