Catdoku transforms classic logic puzzle gameplay into a fun, cat-filled challenge. Instead of working with traditional numbers, you place cats into various colored regions while carefully adhering to interconnected rules. Each level looks friendly and playful, but a single careless move could make the puzzle impossible to complete.

Place the Perfect Cat in Every Cell

The main goal of Catdoku is simple: place exactly one cat in each row, column, and colored region. The challenge is heightened by the "Spacing Rule"—cats are not allowed to touch each other, even diagonally.

Placing a cat in a specific spot alters the possibilities for surrounding cells. Neighboring cells become unavailable, while rows, columns, and regions may reveal new mandatory placements. Therefore, the key to success is making smart logical deductions rather than guessing.

Controls

Click: Mark a cell with an X.
Double-click: Place a cat.
Click the cell again: Clear the current mark.

Read the Board Like a Cat Detective

Start by examining regions with few empty cells remaining. Mark spots where a cat cannot be placed with an X to keep track of eliminated options. After placing a cat in Catdoku, immediately check the row, column, region, and diagonal cells surrounding it. This chain of deduction can quickly reveal the next safe spot.
